I know I couldn’t be in Guatemala without the overwhelming support of so many! Whether or not you can financially give towards my mission work, I want to provide you with an opportunity to stay involved in the work here in Guatemala through a list of prayer needs, both personal and for the kids/Casa Shalom.
Over Casa Shalom:
-Prayers over the kids adjusting to life inside an orphanage: Many times, they don’t understand why they’re being pulled from their previous home. It’s a hard transition on them mentally, physically, spiritually over many weeks, months, and even years. Pray for healing. Pray for understanding. Pray for trust to build. Pray over their broken pasts, that the child may not be defined by what they’ve gone through, but they would be able to learn, grow, prosper, and succeed under our care.
Over myself:
-Like most parents can relate, I often put myself on the back-burner when it comes to the needs of the kids. Pray I can make that separation between caring for the kids and not overlooking (or ignoring) my own needs. Pray the community I’ve been investing in inside and outside the orphanage would continue to grow and deepen. Pray that God would used me daily to be His hands and feet in and around Casa Shalom and Guatemala. Pray I can continue to invest in my relationships stateside, even from a distance. Pray my financial support would continue to allow me the opportunity to serve here in Guatemala.
As a whole, for the kids, staff, and I, pray for good health. Pray for provision. Pray for guidance in our everyday words and actions. Pray we seek to draw near to others, as well as drawing near to Our Creator.
Whether or not you’ve made it this far, I am praying for you too.
I am praying for God’s blessing over your life, your home, your family, your workplace, and your community. I’m praying God would protect and guide you daily. I’m praying for provision, for health, for joy, for comfort, for wisdom, and for gratitude. I thank each and every one of you who have invested in me over the course of the last 7 years (and more) or just recently joined my support team. Financial support, emotional wellbeing, and/or constant prayers are so important to my work here in Guatemala. Truly, I couldn’t be here without each one of you. Thank you.
